Peloponnese treasures 2027: Mycenae, Olympia and Delphi with a guest historian

This is a cruise built around the great sites of ancient Greece. It travels with guest lecturer Eugenia Alexiou, a historian with a Master's degree in Byzantine Art, who brings each site to life from Mycenae and Epidaurus to Olympia and Delphi.

The route

You embark in Athens and sail to Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece. Day two offers an optional excursion to Epidaurus and its theatre, and day three to Mycenae, with the Lion Gate and the so-called Tomb of Agamemnon, before an afternoon in medieval Monemvasia.

From Gythion, an optional tour crosses the Mani to the Diros Caves. Pylos offers Nestor's Palace and the museum at Hora. From Katakolon you visit Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games, and from Itea, Delphi, home of the oracle. The voyage ends with a crossing of the Corinth Canal and the Captain's Farewell Dinner.

The ship

M/S Galileo is a 48-metre motor sailer with 24 outside cabins for up to 49 guests, renovated in 2025. This itinerary is full board.
