Few routes pack in as much as this one. In a single week you sail from Naples to Valletta, calling at Capri, the Aeolian Islands, the east coast of Sicily and Gozo, at the relaxed pace that only a small ship allows.
The route
You embark in Naples at 14:00 and spend the first night in the harbour. Day two is spent at anchor off Capri, with an optional half-day tour and a cocktail demonstration before dinner. Lipari, the largest of the Aeolian Islands, follows, with panoramic views from Quattrocchi.
In Taormina you can visit the Greek amphitheatre and the boutiques of Corso Umberto, with an included wine tasting that evening. Catania is the base for an optional full-day excursion to Mount Etna, ending at a winery on its slopes. Syracuse brings the Captain's Italian Night, then Gozo and its 5,500-year-old Ggantija temples. You disembark in Valletta on day eight.
