A gulet is the traditional wooden yacht of the Turkish coast, and a private charter is one of the most relaxed ways to spend a week at sea with family or friends. Freedom carries 12 guests in six cabins, with your own crew and chef.
The yacht
Freedom is a 30-metre gulet built in 2012 and refitted in 2017 and 2023. Her six air-conditioned cabins comprise two masters, three triples and a twin, with a crew of four in separate quarters. On deck there is a shaded aft deck for long lunches, a flybridge with a jacuzzi and bar, and wide sunbeds on the foredeck. A tender, a canoe and fishing gear are on board, and Wi-Fi is included.
Two routes
Both routes are round trips from Bodrum, sailing Saturday to Saturday, and the captain adjusts each day to the wind.
Route A, Datça and Hisarönü: Palamutbükü and İnceburun, Aktur and Bencik Bay, Emel Sayın, Selimiye and Orhaniye, Bozburun, Datça and ancient Knidos, then the hot springs of Black Island on the way home. See the Datça and Hisarönü listing.
Route B, the Gulf of Gökova: Orak Island and Çökertme, Seven Islands, Tuzla and English Harbour, Cleopatra Island with its famous sand, then Kargılı and Kisebükü. See the Gulf of Gökova listing.
Price
Charters start from €31,000 per week for the whole yacht and up to 12 guests, on full board, with a choice of three menus.
What we add
The charter covers the yacht, crew, chef and meals on board. We arrange everything around it: flights or a private jet, private transfers to and from the marina, a hotel night in Bodrum before or after, and restaurant tables ashore. One concierge manager handles the whole trip, and you can pay in fiat or crypto.
