Asador Etxebarri is ranked No. 2 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list. It sits in the village of Axpe, in Atxondo, in the Basque Country, about 45 minutes by car from Bilbao.
Chef and owner Victor Arguinzoniz cooks everything over wood and charcoal grills he designed himself, from seafood and beef to dessert. The dining room seats around 40 people, and demand for each table far exceeds supply.
